It all started with my mom.

She had been dealing with stubborn skin problems for years. Steroids, expensive creams, drugstore lotions, nothing made a real difference. I was frustrated having watched her struggle for years, so in the summer of '23 I turned my kitchen into a little formulation lab. With my background in science, a love for natural ingredients, and an passion with health/wellness, I spent months experimenting until I finally found something that worked.

The result was a uniquely formulated tallow balm, packed with vitamins, fats, and nutrients that the skin actually recognizes and responds to. About a month later my mom called and told me her skin had not looked that good in years. She asked for another jar. Then her friends wanted some. Then their friends did too. It spread on its own, and very quickly I realized this was more than a side project.

What started as a single balm has grown into Tallowbourn. The goal has always been simple: make products that are natural, effective, and gentle enough for family. Today that first jar has become a full line of skincare products. From our Tallow Body and Face Balm to deodorant, lip balm, and soap, everything is made with ingredients we trust and use ourselves.
