Tallowbourn is committed to making our website accessible and usable for all customers, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort: we continue to improve usability, readability, keyboard and screen-reader support, and compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies as our site and standards evolve.

What We Have Done

Recent improvements on our storefront theme include:

  • Skip links and landmark structure to help keyboard and assistive-technology users move through pages more efficiently
  • Labeled header icons (search, account, cart) so controls have clear accessible names
  • Keyboard focus visibility improvements across interactive controls
  • Primary call-to-action contrast maintained for readability
  • As of October 1, 2026: Crit/High accessibility fixes for contrast and focus, announcement-bar keyboard behavior, deferred-media poster controls, and hero navigation hit targets

What Remains / Limitations

We do not claim full conformance with any specific WCAG version or level. Some areas remain outside full theme control or are still being reviewed:

  • Third-party apps and embeds may not meet the same accessibility standard as our theme
  • Shopify-hosted Checkout is controlled by Shopify and is outside our theme
  • Medium and low-priority accessibility items remain open and continue to be reviewed
  • We reassess pages as content, apps, and browser or assistive-technology behavior change

Third-Party Content and Services

Our website may include third-party tools, applications, payment services, embedded content, or links to third-party websites. Some of these services are not fully controlled by Tallowbourn. We encourage vendors to support accessible experiences, and we will make reasonable efforts to assist customers who have difficulty with third-party features connected to our site.
